Thanks for applying to EngageCX. Let's get you started on the certification process!

Please follow the step-by-step instructions below to complete your Equipment and Video Certification. This process ensures your system, connection, and equipment meet client requirements.

Please complete this process from the workspace, system, and internet connection you plan to use daily. The link to submit your recording is located at the bottom of this email.

Step 1: Browser Setup

• We only support Google Chrome.
• If you don’t have Chrome, download it here: Download Chrome

Step 2: Internet Connection Requirements

• A hardwired Ethernet connection is required.
• Not allowed: Wi-Fi, satellite, hot-spots, or VPNs.
• During your video, show the Ethernet icon (bottom right by the clock – looks like a plug/cable in front of a monitor).

Step 3: USB Headset Verification

• You must use a USB headset for audio.
• Not accepted: stock photos, unopened packages, Bluetooth devices.
• Take a selfie wearing your headset and showing the USB plug:
• Email the selfie to yourself.
• Save it to your desktop.
• Display it during your video when prompted.

Step 4: Laptop Users

• If using a laptop, you must use an external mouse and keyboard (trackpads and built-in keyboards cause sound issues).

Step 5: Run Tests (Show in Video)

1. Speed Test

• ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Open Chrome → go to www.speedtest.net.
• Click Go and leave results open.

• In Windows search bar → type System Information → press Enter.
• Leave the window open.

Step 6: Install Recording Software (ScreenPal)

1. Visit www.screenpal.com
2. Click Record for Free → Launch Free Recorder
3. Save and install software to your desktop.
4. Open ScreenPal → click Red REC button to begin recording.
5. Ensure narration uses your USB headset.

Step 7: Record Your Video Certification

Use the following script and show each item when prompted:

Script:

• “Hello, my name is ________, and this is the video certification as requested.”
• Show Chrome browser open and pinned.
• Show Ethernet connection icon.
• Open Speedtest results → read them out loud.
• Show System Information and answer:
  • Desktop or laptop?
  • If laptop → confirm external mouse & keyboard.
  • Dual monitors?
  • Windows version (show specs).
  • System manufacturer (show specs).
  • Processor speed (show specs).
  • Available RAM (GB).
  • Confirm USB headset:
    • “The make and model of my USB headset is ________.”
• Display headset selfie.
• Closing statement: “Thank you, that concludes my video certification.”

Step 8: Save & Review

• End recording by clicking Pause (II).
• Save file with these settings:
  • Type: MP4
  • File Name: Do not change
  • Location: Desktop
• Play your recording to confirm all items are shown clearly with clear audio.

Step 9: Upload Your Video
